Privacy Policy

This policy explains how WAA Motorsports (What's An Apex? Racing Team), based in Orlando, FL, handles personal information on www.waamotorsports.com. Questions or requests: team@waamotorsports.com.

• Your account: name and email address, and a password, which is stored securely and never visible to us. Two-factor authentication is set up with your own authenticator app.
• Your profile (optional): display name, phone number, city, state, country, a short bio and a profile photo.
• Membership application: date of birth, phone, city and state, how you'd like to take part, racing experience, why you want to join, how you heard about us, an emergency contact, and, for applicants under 18, a parent or guardian's name, email and phone.
• Messages: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form.
• Content you share: photos, captions and news you upload. Hidden photo information such as GPS location is removed before upload.
• Technical information: our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

• To create and secure your account, and to review and manage memberships.
• To run our programs, events and race activities, and to contact you or your emergency contact or guardian about them.
• To reply to your messages and send account emails, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password.
• To publish the content you share, once approved.
• To protect the site and our members from misuse.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

WAA works with young drivers. Applicants under 18 must provide a parent or guardian's details, and accounts for children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time by emailing team@waamotorsports.com.

Photos of drivers under 18 are only published with a parent or guardian's consent, and we never publish a young driver's contact details. A linked parent or guardian can give or withdraw photo consent at any time in their Parent Dashboard.

• You can see and edit your own profile and application.
• WAA administrators can see member and application details, to review memberships and run the team. Administrators must use two-factor authentication.
• A driver's parent or guardian, once WAA has checked the relationship and linked their account, can see that driver's name, date of birth, membership status, emergency contact and guardian details in the Parent Dashboard.
• The public sees only what is published on the site: approved photos, published news and the names of sponsors and partners.
• Service providers that run the site for us, and only to provide their service: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, in the United States), Vercel (website hosting) and Titan (email delivery).
• We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

We only use cookies the site needs to work:

• Sign-in cookies, which keep you signed in to your account.
• An intro cookie, which remembers that you've seen the welcome screen and is deleted when you close your browser.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

We keep your account and membership information while your account is open. Contact form messages are kept until we no longer need them. When an account is deleted, its profile, membership application and profile photo are removed. Photos already published in the gallery stay unless you ask us to remove them. We keep a short record (name, email, role, date and reason) so we know the account was closed.

• You can update your profile, email address and password at any time on your profile page.
• You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account, by emailing team@waamotorsports.com.
• You can ask us to remove any photo or content you shared.

Information is sent over encrypted connections and access to it is restricted by role. Every account uses two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your authenticator app safe.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of the site.
